以生产网卡芯片以及音频处理芯片名闻业界的瑞昱（Realtek）公司在4月11日举行的英特尔春季亚太科技论坛（IDF）中发布了新一代高保真CODEC芯片——ALC882。不少媒体宣称，这款基于Intel公司新一代继承音频构架“HD Audio”平台的全新CODEC芯片将带来一次主板集成音效的一次全新的风暴！它具有高音质、多音源独立输出输入技术、全新杜比高性能立体环绕音效功能等优点，能够在新一代数码家庭个人电脑平台应用上，提供多声道、高品质音效的完整解决方案。ALC882将分为D、H、M这三种具体型号，主要在对Dolby技术的支持上有所区别。
ALC882音效芯片提供了高达103db信噪比（SNR），它突破主板现有集成音效芯片SNR局限在88-90db的技术瓶颈，让主板音效设计能轻松达到95db讯号噪讯比的高品质音质。除了提供高音质规格外，这款音频芯片还配合信号演算技术软件，提供噪音滤除及回音消除等功能，无论是在一般的录音或线上对话都可以达到高品质、高保真音效与音质，符合个人电脑语音处理的专业应用。
